This site presents numerous photos, videos and links to one of America's most remote, yet fascinating national parks, Big Bend National Park. Everyone should visit Big Bend National Park at least once in their lifetime. It offers a unique perspective seldom seen in today's national parks, and the ability to enjoy it without having huge numbers of people around, and experience the beauty of nature first hand.

It is a unique and rugged environment which can be experienced a variety of ways, even if that adventure is limited to driving thru the numerous well maintained paved roads within the park.

Since the park opened in 1944, more than 15 million people have visited its interior located on more than 800,00 acres.

Founded in June of 1944, this national park offers visitors a wide variety of activities to experience from hiking, camping and fishing to bird watching, nature and wildlife photography, viewing dinosaur bones and other fossil exhibits from the oysters, urchins and snails that used to occupy the park, as well as horseback riding, river rafting, or even a day trip to nearby Mexico thru a legal border crossing across the Rio Grande river.
