As of April of 2013, the Boquillas Crossing from the Big Bend National Park, into Mexico is open again after being closed since 2002. A link for more info here:

- Hours of Operation: (subject to change, schedule below as of 7-13-2022)
- 9:00am - 6:00pm (summer 5-1 thru 11-1) Friday to Monday - 4 days a week
- 8:00am - 5:00pm (winter 11-2 thru 4-30) Wednesday to Sunday - 5 days a week
The Boquillas Crossing Port of Entry is the gateway for those visitors who wish to take advantage of the opportunity to visit Mexico. Proper documentation is required to both enter Mexico and re-enter the United States. Mexican immigration in Boquillas requires passports for all travelers of any age.
